Our window

This is our window. The window of the house were we live in Reykjavik. I took this picture in the summer when the plants were still alive outside. I like it because it shows out sauvage view as our house is in the botanical garden. Also, it shows a bit of our life style, that kind of life style that would make some people ask: "Do you live in a community? Are you an environmentalist hippie?" :)

I don´t know about the bills, but the coins make me laugh so much. Although it s quite logical, I never imagined that the icelandic coins will have fishes on them. Enjoy these cute, funny kronur! :)

Iceland...the National Geographic kind of dream

There was this movie with a kid into music, so whenever he was writing in his diary he started "Dear David Bowie...". For me, it should begin like "Dear Cristian Lascu..." (chief editor of National Geographic Romania).

So, dear Cristian Lascu, I am in Iceland. And I will be in Iceland for the next 7 months as an EVS volunteer(=European Voluntary Service). For me, this is the national Geographic kind of dream. The kind of place that for me, now, represents a new frontier, a different landscape and atmosphere from what I know and what I´ve seen before. and I will be here to mix my dream with reality, not just an touristic image of Iceland i have from some brochure, but my own perception.

So, we will see in the next months how my perception will change. For now, I am in this fucking(biip) unique country with other 10-15-20 volunteers and weŕe enjoying our time.
